Salvador Carrera
Salvador performed with Mariachi Corazón de Phoenix for three years before returning to his home state of Guerrero, Mexico. During that time he played both guitarrón and vihuela and composed more than a dozen songs that have been published by Estrellas del Mar (contact Richard for more information about this publication). He also composed our cumbia theme song Corazón de Phoenix.
While in the U.S. Salvador served as guest artist armonía instructor for the Arizona State University Mariachi Program and toured Sonora, Mexico with Mariachi A.S.U. where he composed a corrido for Presidente Vicente Fox.
